I love this quote because the things you do have consequences, good or bad.  By Bill saying that yesterday was the past he is emphasizing that you can not get it back.  So you have to life that day and go to bed with no regrets. I also love that he says tomorrow is the future. If you are having a bad day or you get in a fight tomorrow is a whole new day.  When you go to sleep and wake up you can change things.  That day does not know the complications of yesterday.  ”Today is a gift” is the best part out of the whole quote because each day you are alive is a gift. You can do anything you want with that day. You can live it by helping people and making yourself happy or you can live it horrible ways by being greedy or selfish.  So to me everyday that I have on earth is a blessing and I am going to live it to the fullest because tomorrow you can never get back.

In life people look for many things like money, love, success. Some of those people spend their whole lives looking for it and never seem to find it. For me, I think i have already found a little part of it. What i found important is the love and respect from family and friends. Yes, you do need money and success in your career comes from that. But in live i want to be able to change the lives of people. I feel like that i have so much more than i ever deserve. So i feel like that i should give back to people who have less.

In order to reach this goal of changing lives i want to experience all that i can so when i try to give advice people will actually listen to what i have to say. For me as a teenage kid you tend to not listen to people especially if they don’t know what they are talking about. So i want to be someone that people can relate to. Another is reaching out to people in different places. For example i have gone on two trips to New Orleans to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I have also helped out at my aunts school, and on many occasions helped babysitting at my church. So in anyway that i can help the younger children understand something or just be there to be their friend or helping out the adults by babysitting or just being there is already achieving my goal.

If i do not get this goal then i must be doing something very wrong. It is not to hard to go out of your way to help someone. Hold a door, it doesn’t have to be something as big a leaving the country all you have to do is be kind in your everyday life. Be a friend to someone that you don’t usually talk to, help someone when they are in need, or just be that shoulder to cry on when a friend needs a shoulder. These little things are what i want out of life.

 If there was one thing that i would change it would be that my family would not torn part and i wish that we could all be the way we once were. Family is a really important part of my life and not having a full family is hard to handle.  Along with my family not gettting along, me and my mother do not have the closest relationship that a mother and daughter should have. I dont want our relationship to be like my dad and his mom’s.  Another thing i would change is my attitude towards school. This year i have been really lazy and not wanting to be here. I know I have to be here so i might as well make the best of it.  Also relating to school I really need to get my grades up. I could be doing so much better i just dont try and i dont achieve the goals that i know i could get. Last but not least i want to enjoy life more. We are heading into our senior year of high school and i have to many worries and burdens on my life as a 17 year old person. So within the next year i want to relax and hang out with my friends because before we know it we will be splitting up and heading our own ways with our lives.

Sacrifices. Give Everything, Give Your All

What would it take for you to sacrifice all that you know; to the point where your life would be up in smoke?

People everyday risk their lives for you and for our country by going to war. Some people feel like that is what they are called to do. Others everyday go to their job and sacrifice their dignity and everything they believe in just to keep their family together and a roof over their heads. Everyone has their own ways of sacrificing. Some feel like some things are too far out of reach so they do something that they feel they can give up.

To me going to war would be something that is a last resort . I know that people get taken away from families forever and that scares me to death. The war to me is something that is pointless and not near home. Being over seas and helping people is great thing but having to kill innocent people in the process is not worth giving my life for. Now, maybe if someone told me that the war was hitting home and people were fighting on our home ground maybe then i would fight in the war; because then the war is directly effecting me and i need to protect what is mine and the people i care about.

One major thing that is very important to me is my brother and sister. They are my everything. My family has not always been close but over the past few years those two have been my rock. So if someone would ever threaten them i would have to definitely have to sacrifice my everything for them. My sister has had a rough time in school with girls being petty and immature. I wish i could see these girls and give them a piece of my mind… or fist. Same with my older brother. Even though he is older and probably wouldn’t want his younger sister defending him but if he ever go in trouble i would sacrifice myself for him because i know that he would do the same thing for me at any point in time.

So think. What would you give your everything for? Who would you give your all fighting for?

What is happening? Why is this happening to me? What do I do? What should I take with me? These might be some of the things that run through your head when the worst of the worst happens. I believe that everyone has things that mean the most to them. For me i would have to say that family is a big part of my life. My life hasn’t always been fun and games. At one point in time my family was large and loved each other dearly. Then we found out that my grandfather had become an alcoholic. His wife had left him and from there on everything was a blur. Now all I know is that we are not talking to my father’s side of the family.

I miss them dearly but everyday I know that one day i will see them again. Things don’t always happen they way you want it to. All you have to do is wait it out and believe that everything will be alright.

Then after the family had split up we began to have money problems which led to more stresses with the family. I look at my personal life and believe that God will help me through. I sometimes forget to thank the Lord for everything he gave me but I know that he is always there for me. Another big supporter of me is my brother. i love him no matter what and every time a fight in my family would break out he would see that i was upset and get me out of the house so i didn’t have to hear the argument.

Even though things may be going wrong with your life you have to press through the hard times and realize that things will get better. It sometimes helps to set goals and think i will be there soon. it will help you get the hard times off your mind and will let you LIVE THE LIFE YOU ALWAYS DREAMED OF.

When you are in love you should have certain qualities in a relationship that you look for. What i look for is someone that you can be yourself around. If you cannot be yourself and comfortable i feel as though your relationship will never work for a long period of time. I think you should also have the trust issue worked out. You have to definitely have to have trust in the person you are dating because if you do not you will always be second guessing the other person and then become one of the clingy girl/boyfriend. Another this is romance. In a relationship you have to a spark of romance because who doesn’t want to swept off their feet every now and again. One last major thing is the surprise factor. You don’t want to know everything because you want to be finding something new about the one you love. You can follow my example with love your sit down and think what you want in a significant other to know that you can find love.

My goal this year is to stay focused on my schoolwork all year long.  To achieve this goal I will try my hardest to pay attention in class and take the best notes that I possibly can. If I notice that my grades are starting to slip I will sit down and see where I need to improve.  In the future I want to go to college and be a teacher or photographer.  Being focused in school will help me achieve my further goals in life. If i do get behind on my work i will ask a friend who has been paying attention and ask for help.  This will help me reach my goal.  My goal for this year is to be focused in school.
